Activities are taking place on Brač Island

Grab a sail, ride the wind and feel the speed. An amazing feeling, isn't it? You will learn the basic manoeuvres and turns. You can feel safe and carefree when windsurfing in the aquatorium near the world famous Zlatni rat beach. Did you hear that? Do you feel it on your skin? Maestral is here. This wind from the northwest draws in a large number of adrenaline water sports enthusiasts.

Zlatni rat beach is definitely the best place to practice turns, trick moves and jumps. You have wonderful waves forming on one side and a completely flat sea surface on the other. Perfect, isn't it? It doesn't matter if you're a freerider, freestyler, slalom or wave rider, Bol offers something for everyone. As for the other winds, we recommend the "tramontana" and "jugo", which form larger waves. There is another village on the island named Povlja, where you can sail during the northern "bura" wind, that blows from the land towards the sea. Bol is a place with a specific microclimate characterised by the early afternoon exchange of the east wind and northwest "maestral" wind.

What Bol lacks in size, it makes up for in the number of restaurants and bars. Although the menus vary only slightly between them, each restaurant possesses a unique charm and delectable specialities. Take a stroll through the town and let your nose guide you to the most delicious Dalmatian dishes. You simply can't go wrong.

Day-by-day itinerary

DAY 1

Saturday

Take a deep breath and let your senses loose because we have a memorable week packed with sporting treats. After arriving to the town of Bol, check-in at the hotel near the beach. The surf centre's friendly team will greet you in the late afternoon and introduce you to your weekly schedule. Evening at leisure. We suggest that you call it a night early, so you can rest from your trip and prepare yourself for your surfing adventure. Make sure you get a good night's sleep.

DAY 2 - 5

Sunday - Wednesday

Good morning, surfers. Breakfast is served. It's windsurfing time. The surf centre is only a few minutes away on foot. Two-hour lessons for beginners will take place every morning over the course of the next four days. If you're an experienced surfer, you will definitely love the conditions that last throughout the afternoon. The more seasoned instructors hold advanced courses for all windsurfers looking to learn a bit more or improve the skills required to tackle strong winds. The advanced course lasts a total of five hours. Usher in the evening with an unforgettable movie sunset at Zlatni rat. If you like dancing, enjoying yourself and having a night out on the town, check out some of the local bars and party until the early morning hours.

DAY 6

Thursday

After breakfast, it's time to demonstrate what you have learned. You will have two hours at your disposal for using the school's equipment. Now you're finally ready to go windsurfing on your own. No need to fret because the centre has its own lifeboat and the instructors will be keeping an eye on you. Bridle the wind and enjoy the aquatorium, which offers a view of the neighbouring island of Hvar and the stunning Vidova gora, the highest point of the Adriatic Islands.

If you would like to visit Vidova gora, please let us know and we will organise it for you – there are different options, like quad biking from Bol strait to the top, or going on a guided excursion by car/van to the most famous sites on the island, including Blaca Hermitage and the inevitable Vidova gora.

DAY 7

Friday

For the last day of your holiday on Brač, we suggest a visit to a nearby island of Hvar. We can organise a whole day boat excursion to this Croatia’s longest and sunniest island with 2.722 hours of sunlight per year. The island is best known as one of the most exclusive destinations for nautical tourism in Croatia, and its ports are usually full of luxurious yachts.

If you decide to stay in Bol, we have something a bit more laid back prepared for you. Stand Up Paddling is the fastest growing water sport and is appropriate for all ages. Grab a board and a paddle and have fun exploring the myriad coves beyond Zlatni rat.

In case you let us know that you want to go on the excursion, we will organise SUP for you the day before.

After breakfast, it is time to check out of the hotel and head home. We are looking forward to seeing you again next year and we wish you a safe trip home.
