Croatia is a country with more than a thousand islands and each one has a different story to tell.

This small fishing town is surrounded by enchanting scenery and as such is the perfect location for an array of sporting activities. Relax and feel the soothing caress of the winds whose refreshing gusts are a daily occurrence at Bol's gorgeous beaches, the most famous of which is "Zlatni rat" (The Golden Horn).
From the basic maneuvers to more advanced turns, the sports centre's experienced instructors will be at your side every step of the way. If you're looking for a place that is peaceful but at the same time caters to all your adrenaline needs, then Bol is perfect for you.

The Australian Jason Polakow was the first windsurfer to ride the great waves in Portugal. Nazare, which is famous all over the world for its huge waves, attracts a large number of visitors who observe the fearless athletes without blinking and cheer them on as they engage with the formidable sea in a dynamic dance. Jason rode a 13m high wave with his surfboard and sail, which is equivalent to the height of a three-story building. We hope that the completion of your beginner windsurfing course will ignite a spark in you to improve your skills and achieve even greater speeds.
Zlatni rat beach is definitely the best place to practice turns, trick moves and jumps. You have wonderful waves forming on one side and a completely flat sea surface on the other. Perfect, isn't it? It doesn't matter if you're a freerider, freestyler, slalom or wave rider, Bol offers something for everyone. As for the other winds, we recommend the tramontane and "jugo", which form larger waves. Avoid the strong northern "bura" wind in Bol because it blows from the land towards the sea and is intermittent. There is another village on the island named Povlja, where you can sail during the "bura". Enjoy.
Don't worry, we won't be taking you to an actual desert for the half-day excursion. When talking about Blaca, the "desert" refers to the isolated village, which was built by priests, so that they could completely devote themselves to spirituality. The priests made wine and honey and grew crops here, which made them wealthy and powerful. It also allowed them to pursue science, which is why Blaca was once a world-famous observatory.
Take a deep breath and let your senses loose because we have a memorable week packed with sporting and culinary treats. After arriving to the town of Bol, you can check-in at the hotel near the beach. The surf centre's friendly team will greet you in the late afternoon and introduce you to your weekly schedule. You will have the rest of the evening to take a stroll and find the best ice-cream in town. We suggest that you call it a night early, so you can rest from your trip and prepare yourself for your surfing adventure. Make sure you get a good night's sleep.
Look for B058 ice cream shop in the center of Bol. You will be amazed by delicious and refreshing flavors from their menu.
Good morning, surfers. Buffet breakfast is served. It's windsurfing time. The surf centre is only a few minutes away on foot. Two-hour lessons for beginners will take place every morning over the course of the next four days. Grab a sail, ride the wind and feel the speed. An amazing feeling, isn't it? You will learn the basic maneuvers and turns. You can feel safe and carefree when windsurfing in the aquatorium near the world famous Zlatni rat beach. Did you hear that? Do you feel it on your skin? Maestral is here. This wind from the northwest draws in a large number of adrenaline water sports enthusiasts. If you're an experienced surfer, you will definitely love the conditions that last throughout the afternoon. The more seasoned instructors hold advanced courses for all windsurfers looking to learn a bit more or improve the skills required to tackle strong winds. The advanced course lasts a total of five hours. Usher in the evening with an unforgettable movie sunset at Zlatni rat. If you like dancing, enjoying yourself and having a night out on the town, check out some of the local bars and party until the early morning hours.
Bol is a beautiful place with a specific microclimate characterized by the early afternoon exchange of the east wind and northwest "maestral" wind. Use this time to have lunch at the nearby restaurant with a sea view.
Feel free to sleep in. After breakfast, you can lounge at the hotel bar Bolero sipping a cup of coffee and taking in the scent of the sea and pine trees. Today it's time to demonstrate what you have learned. After the course ends, you will have two hours at your disposal for using the school's equipment. Now you're finally ready to go windsurfing on your own. No need to fret because the centre has its own lifeboat and the instructors will be keeping an eye on you. Bridle the wind and enjoy the aquatorium, which offers a view of the neighboring island of Hvar and the stunning Vidova gora. Does your inner adventurer want to keep exploring? You can take a half-day boat excursion to the Blaca desert or a full-day boat excursion to Hvar and Palmižana. What Bol lacks in size, it makes up for in the number of restaurants. Although the menus vary only slightly between them, each restaurant possesses a unique charm and delectable specialities. Take a stroll through the town and let your nose guide you to the most delicious Dalmatian dishes. You simply can't go wrong. Good night.
If you feel hungry after a windsurfing session and you want a quick bite, make sure to visit street food places in the center of Bol. Need something special? Go to the small harbor and look for a Pumparela restaurant that serves tuna steak on a hot rock. Rare, medium, well done, it's up to you.
Good morning and Bon Appetite. For the last day of your holiday, we have prepared something a bit more laid back. Stand Up Paddling is the fastest growing water sport and is appropriate for all ages. Grab a board and a paddle and have fun exploring the myriad coves beyond Zlatni rat. After some light paddling, unwind at the Auro Cocktail Bar and celebrate the end of a perfect week in this surfing paradise dancing to the music. If you're looking for one last adrenaline fix, gear up and climb Vidova Gora, the highest island mountain peak in the entire Adriatic. The view includes all the islands in the vicinity and extends all the way to Italy. Spend your last night at one of the restaurants with a glass of fine wine and raise a toast to a swift return to Bol. Good night.
After breakfast, it is time to check out of the hotel and head home. We are looking forward to seeing you again next year and we wish you a safe trip home.
