On the top level of the house, there is a cozy apartment with all household supplies you will need in the following 6 days of your stay. Should you require additional assistance or service, your hosts will be on the other side of the house, with a separate entrance, guaranteeing mutual privacy and ensuring fast service.

Day-by-day itinerary

DAY 1

Meeting your hosts

In the southernmost Croatian airport, Dubrovnik, you will be welcomed by the host who will take you to his agricultural rural estate in Konavle, a 10-min drive away.

The hosts will prepare a delicious dinner made from regional ingredients: home-made oil-cured cheese, smoked ham, roasted peppers, eggplants, olive oil, home-made bread, home-made cake and welcome drinks.

DAY 2

The culinary school and embroidery workshop

The morning shall start with a typical local breakfast after which you will be exploring the estate: a garden with partly agricultural products, threshing floor, a wine press and stone exhibits. You will see domestic animals strolling freely throughout the estate – goats and chickens, and you can feed them. Enjoy the beautiful sea view, forests, gardens and vineyards.

The culinary school is scheduled in the afternoon. Together with your host, you will prepare a veal roast under the bell with garden vegetables. In the meantime, as the meal roasts, a professional guide will pick you up and take you to a trip to the village of Čilipi to visit the County museum.

Return to the estate and enjoying together the lunch you’ve prepared.

The plans for late afternoon include a Konavle embroidery workshop, where you will make embroidery from silkworms at the art atelier. This area is notable for the making of raw silk from silkworms, so we are offering you to make your own souvenir, whilst tasting home-made cake and cheese.

Return to the estate, relaxation and overnight stay.

DAY 3

Wine tasting in villages with traditional stone-built houses

A new morning starts with a delicious breakfast once again, and the local guide will then take you on an adventure through Konavle villages with wine tasting rooms and a generous gastronomic offer. To this day, Konavle settlements have preserved the appearance of traditional stone architecture, the culture of living, land cultivation and consideration for traditional principles. At one such household you will have Mediterranean chicken with polenta for lunch.

You will continue exploring this unique Konavle landscape on horseback. The trip is under guide’s control: safe for both the beginners and first-timers as the trail is not demanding, and the ride is slow for a complete peace of mind through unexplored forest trails and the shore of Konavle rocks.

The evening ends with return to the estate, a light dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4

Boat trip to Dubrovnik

After breakfast, a visit to Cavtat is scheduled, a former village that evolved into a beautiful Mediterranean fishing relaxing town, built from white stones, with many alleys, green oases, cafés and restaurants.
