Off-road exploration: the best way to discover the beauty of Istria

Set in a beautiful scenery of untouched nature and untouched shores, this program is jam-packed with pure adventure and adrenaline.

Istria is the largest Croatian peninsula located in the northern part of the Adriatic. The crystal-clear sea and the mild Mediterranean climate make Istria perfect for outdoor activities and many adventurous undertakings.

The indented coastline and romantic towns irresistibly reminding you of Provence and Tuscany impress the visitors equally as the forested and mountainous inland. The most beautiful parts of Istria can only be discovered with off-road quad biking or while kayaking - and we’re taking you to experience both! This partially self-drive tour features some hard-to-reach places, but only with the trails less taken will you reach the beautiful viewpoints such as the one overlooking the Raša bay. Istria is a place that will delight you with its beauty, stories, spirit and charm, and it offers adventures and experiences you will never forget.

Activities are taking place in Istria

Adventure park you will visit won many awards, among which are “Certificate of Excellence” by Tripadvisor, and the certificate of the European Ropes Course Association with very high safety standards.

Moreover, according to Tripadvisor, the park was elected the best tourist attraction in Istria in 2013., 2014. and 2015.

The adventure park also has an animal park with goats, sheep, rabbits, and cats and dogs where you can relax and have fun.

Devil’s Bridge you will visit is an enormous valley-crossing suspension bridge consisting of 4 zip lines, a long skateboard trail, three bridges and a top 35-meter monocycle ride 12 meters above ground. One zip line will make you fly 120 meters in length at 20 meters in height!

If you are into exploring local cuisine, we recommend a visit to one of the local Istrian taverns where you can enjoy the Istrian specialities of top quality. Choose between seafood delights, asparagus meals or truffles delicacies, with rosemary, bay leaf, basil and thyme. Round these with the famous Istrian wines - authentic Malvasia, aromatic Momjan Muskat, or ruby red Terrano. Bon appétit!

Day-by-day itinerary

DAY 1

Arrival to Fažana

Upon arrival to Fažana, a picturesque fishing town located on the southwestern coast of the Istrian peninsula, you will be accommodated in a small charming hotel with unique and individually designed rooms. Although your Istrian adventure begins tomorrow, you can go ahead and explore the place today on your own. It is situated near the ancient town of Pula, which you can also visit. It is also the port from where you can reach the Brijuni Islands National Park. Make sure you take a walk along the beautiful seaside promenade where everyone can enjoy sunsets and the sea air. Overnight stay.

DAY 2

Quad biking through exciting forest trails and kayak safari

Make sure you eat well for breakfast as you are about to embark on an off-road quad ride, followed by kayaking. Your expedition begins in Draguzeti where an expert guide will be waiting for you. A short introduction to the itinerary is followed by adventurous quad biking through exciting forest trails towards the eastern part of Istria. During the ride you will take on natural obstacles like hills and streams - we’ve carefully picked routes to maximize your enjoyment. Get your cameras ready as the St. Nicholas viewpoint near Rakalj will leave you breathless. The Raša bay and Kvarner will be in the palm of your hand, so enjoy the beautiful panoramic view. This is followed by a sightseeing tour of the old citadel Rakalj and St. Agnes church.

The ride continues to Blaž cove where the quad adventure ends, and the kayak ride begins. While kayaking in the Adriatic Sea, you will tour beautiful Istrian coves and landscapes. You will visit the old mills, drinking water springs, and the location of an old sunken ship visible from the sea surface.

Upon return to Blaž cove, we suggest having late lunch in one of the Istrian taverns nearby, where your guide will help you choose food to your liking. After the refreshing and energising local delicacies, you will return to Draguzeti by quads. Rest well because tomorrow is another fun day, you may expect a new rush of adrenaline!

DAY 3

Adrenaline park and Devil’s Bridge

After breakfast, meet your host at the famous adventure park near Barban. Fun starts with high rope training courses, but not before you are fitted with a harness, get a safety briefing and get instructions how to handle the obstacles. The training course comes in three difficulty levels, each one more rewarding with a longer zipline ending. Get ready for a top adrenaline experience that will awaken all your senses! Afterwards you will take on the Devil’s Bridge, an enormous valley-crossing suspension bridge with ziplines and unicycle.

Take a break for lunch at a local Istrian tavern that serves traditional dishes and drinks.
